| Yogi was a Friends for Life puppy named Christian about a year ago. He was adopted by an older man who watched him grow and loved him. Unfortunately the man's health is not good and he had to give Yogi up. I picked him up today thinking he was a medium sized dog. He isn't. He's a big guy, 70 - 90 pounds. He has had little training and is a typical puppy. He has a wonderful, funny, gentle temperment. But he is a big guy with very little training. We worked with him just a little today and he is learning off (no jumping on people) and is doing well with sit. He is very trainable. He is not recommended for folks with small children just because of his size and exhuberance. He would do best with a family with the time and experience to train him. Potential adopters should provide a vet reference. Until we get some training under his belt he will not be at the pet fair. If you have good references a meeting will be scheduled. If he isn't house trained it should be easy for a knowledgeable adopter to train him. Can you resist that smile? HC Friends for Life animals live in foster homes in Watauga County. Most are strays or owner turn-ins to Watauga County Animal Control. They have been vaccinated, wormed, and are spayed or neutered.
