I/We (Adopter/s) agree to the following terms to adopt a new family member from High Country Friends For Life. Our new dog will be an important member of my/our family and treated with kindness, respect and love. He/She will never be neglected or abused in any way. It will be the responsibility of the Adopter/s to provide all future (including during the two-week introductory period) veterinary care as necessary. He/She will be an indoor family member and will not be tied or chained outside. And, while outside, he/she will be under my/our supervision. I/We understand that He/She may not be housetrained. I/We agree to use positive reinforcement house training techniques and to obtain information to help with housetraining or other behavior issues if necessary. There will be a two (2) week introductory period. During this two-week period, all legal, veterinary and any/all other responsibilities (financial, legal or otherwise) for his/her care will be the sole obligation of the Adopter/s. If for any reason after the two-week introductory period it is determined that _______________ is not a good match for my/our family, he/she will be returned to High Country Friends For Life for a full adoption cost refund. If any other expenses are incurred during the two-week introductory time frame, they will be the responsibility of the Adopter/s.
